1. Introduction

Welcome to Lumeinas. By accessing our website, browsing, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

3. Products and Prices

  • All prices displayed on the website are final prices. As a small business, no value-added tax (VAT) is charged or displayed separately.
  • Shipping costs are not included in the product price and are calculated separately at checkout based on the delivery destination.
  • All our products are handcrafted with care; minor variations in color, shape, or appearance may occur and are a unique feature of handmade candles.

4. Payment

  • We accept the payment methods displayed during the checkout process.
  • Orders will be processed and shipped only after full payment has been received.

5. Shipping and Delivery

  • We ship within Germany, across the European Union, and internationally (including Gulf countries).
  • Handling Time: Orders are usually processed and handed over to the carrier within 1 business day.
  • Estimated Shipping Times:
    • Germany: 3–4 business days.
    • European Union (EU): 3–6 business days.
    • Gulf Countries (GCC): 11–14 business days.
  • Customers are responsible for providing complete and correct shipping address details.

5.1 Customs, Taxes, and Duties

  • For international orders outside the EU, customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees levied by the destination country. These fees are not included in the purchase or shipping price.

6. Right of Withdrawal & Return Policy (Widerrufsrecht)

  • Right to Cancel: You have the right to cancel your order and return the products within 14 days of receipt without giving any reason, in accordance with EU consumer protection laws.
  • Condition of Returned Items: To be eligible for a return, products must be unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging. Burnt, melted, or used candles cannot be returned for safety and hygienic reasons.
  • Return Shipping Fees: The customer is responsible for paying the direct cost of return shipping, unless the item received was defective, damaged, or incorrect.
  • Damaged or Incorrect Items: If your order arrives broken or damaged during transit, please contact us immediately at info@lumeinas.com with photographic evidence. We will gladly send a replacement or offer a full refund at no extra charge.
  • Refund Process: Once we receive and inspect your returned package, we will process your refund to your original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Cancellation and Modification

  • Orders can only be modified or cancelled before they have been dispatched. Once an order has been shipped, the standard Return Policy (Section 6) applies.

  • We respect your privacy and process personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  • Lumeinas is not liable for damages caused by improper or unsafe handling of our products (e.g., leaving burning candles unattended). Please follow candle safety instructions provided with your purchase.
  • We strive to keep the website functional at all times but are not liable for temporary technical downtimes or delivery delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

12. Dispute Resolution (EU ODR Platform)

  • The European Commission provides a platform for Online Dispute Resolution (ODR), accessible at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
  • We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, but we prefer to resolve any issue directly and amicably with our customers.
